Richmond International Forest Products has been in business for over 40 years and we strive to further expand our national and international footprint in the forestry products industry. RIFP is a division of Forest City Trading Group - a $7 billion employee-owned company that is a significant player in the lumber, steel and building products industries. Due to the excitement around RIFP, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to our team.

Responsibilities:
High School Diploma is required plus 3 years of work experience in similar position; or Associate’s degree from two-year college plus two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor or Associate’s degree from a college or technical school preferred

Responsibilities:
- Print, verify, and enter mill invoices in the AS/400 system for payment, ensuring all discounts are applied.
- Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox and resolve any invoice issues, collaborating with suppliers as needed.
- Process approved freight, international, and miscellaneous invoices in the AS/400 system for timely payment.
- Work with the Accounts Payable Manager and team, including interns, to complete tasks efficiently.
- Provide cross-functional support, including covering for team members and front desk reception as needed.
- Assist with additional tasks assigned by leadership and adapt to new systems during upcoming company-wide rollout.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- High attention to detail, adherence to compliance processes, and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio); AS/400 experience is a plus.
- Able to adapt to new ERP system rollout over the next few years.
